Finance committee approves JT Lawn contract extension and new IT services agreement starting March 1

The Diversion Authority Finance Committee approved two contracting actions on Feb. 26: continued services with JT Lawn Services for grounds maintenance across authority properties and a new contract for IT services to begin March 1.
Mr. Barthold described the JT Lawn Services contract as an expansion of prior work. The contractor will continue mowing, weed control and snow removal for acquired properties and will maintain parts of the Southern Embankment, the wild‑rice structure and the diversion inlet structure. Barthold said the contract is split into seven geographic sections so staff can adjust the scope as surplus parcels are sold or new parcels are acquired.
On IT services, staff solicited three proposals and recommended Network Center (staff described it as the highest‑rated, lowest‑cost proposer). The IT agreement is for $31,000 for the year, with a proposed start date of March 1 and an overlap month to transition from the incumbent, Marco Technologies. Barthold said Marco's contract contains an automatic renewal unless a 30‑day termination notice is provided, so staff will issue the notice if Network Center is approved.
Mr. Steen moved to approve items 8A and 8B; Commissioner Pippkorn seconded. A roll call vote approved both contracting actions.
