Statewide Links to Quality program launched; advisory board guiding shared services and software rollout

Mitchell said Child Care Aware is the contracted agency implementing QRIS and that an advisory board has supported link development, community feedback, and technical decisions, including selection of statewide child-care management software. She said nearly 1,000 providers are now using the chosen child-care management software. The advisory board participates in subgroups to draft and review links (quality indicators in specific content areas) and recently reviewed a draft program-administration link.
Looking ahead, Mitchell said the board will continue link development, work to establish shared services with community partners, and identify funding and partnership strategies to sustain shared services. She invited interested stakeholders to join the advisory board and participate in subgroups that shape link content and implementation.
