Karen Gregg, interim executive director of Greenways for Nashville, briefed the commission on two items: the upcoming Richland Creek Run on March 29, one of the nonprofit’s two major annual events, and a trailhead signage project.
Gregg said postcards and yard signs are available for commissioners and community partners to distribute to promote the event; the run includes walking and running options and a post‑race gathering. She also said the nonprofit’s phase‑2 trailhead signs for Richland Creek, Seven Mile and Mill Creek are currently in production in Florida and are expected to be installed in the spring.
Gregg said fundraising for specific greenway construction is not active at the moment because Greenways for Nashville is in a leadership transition, but added that the organization will discuss philanthropic capital support again in future months.
