Morton Grove board approves easement, school addition and PUD fence amendment; adopts $785,741.42 warrant register

The Morton Grove Village Board on Feb. 25 approved three ordinances, adopted a warrant register for $785,741.42 and appointed Trustee Witko as Mayor Pro Tem for the meeting.
The board voted 5-0 to accept an easement at 9120 Waukegan Road. Trustee Thill moved to accept the ordinance and Trustee Mink seconded; the clerk recorded the roll call vote as five ayes, none opposed. The record lists the ordinance as No. 25-05.
Also on unanimous votes, the board approved Ordinance 25-06, a special-use permit to allow expansion and modification of the existing Parkview School at the property commonly known as 6200 Lake Street, and Ordinance 25-07, approving an amendment to a planned unit development to allow installation of fences between and around residential lots in the Ponto Collection subdivision described in the meeting as the property commonly known as "90 Three-twelve Shermer Road." Both motions were moved and seconded; the clerk called roll and the ordinances passed 5 to 0.
Trustees then approved a warrant register for $785,741.42. Trustee Khan presented the warrant register and moved its acceptance; Trustee Travis seconded. The clerk recorded the roll-call vote as five ayes and the register was approved.
Earlier in the meeting the board named Trustee Witko Mayor Pro Tem for the evening; that appointment passed by voice vote recorded as 5 to 0. The board also approved minutes from the regular Feb. 11, 2025, meeting by voice vote.
There were no contested roll-call results recorded during the meeting. No ordinances were tabled or sent back to committees at this meeting.
The actions taken affect property rights (the accepted easement), a school expansion that has completed prior commission review, and a PUD amendment that alters residential fencing rules within the Ponto Collection subdivision.
