Oklahoma County commissioners approve multiple contracts, grants and agreements

Oklahoma County commissioners on Feb. 25 approved a package of procurement actions, grants and contract amendments ranging from ARPA subrecipient agreements to design amendments for the county jail site.

The actions included ARPA subrecipient awards to local organizations, a DEQ reimbursement grant application for Highway District 3 vehicles, contract amendments with architect HOK on the county jail site, and a change-order update for the behavioral care center construction contract. Commissioners also opened six bids for a landscape maintenance contract and approved a new ATM contract for the courthouse.

Why it matters: the approved items fund infrastructure, public-safety equipment and community grants that the county and its partners will use in coming months. Several items also unlock vendor payments that had been held by state agencies.

The board approved four ARPA subrecipient agreements on the consent agenda: an award listed as Impact 45 for $5,000 to support an Oklahoma Resource Hub connection; $50,000 to Millwood Public Schools for athletic-facility improvements; $50,000 to Uncommon Ground for the Eagles Nest project; and $20,000 to the YMCA for local improvements (project description as shown in the agenda: not specified).
