Board approves final facade plan for Hearsay at 1117 Third Avenue

"They did receive approval back in 02/2022, but due to the 2 year, renewal period, they did slightly miss their continuing opportunity, so that is why they are here back to in front of you today," the staff member said.
The staff member said the application submitted now contains the identical plans that were approved in 2022 and noted the sign will be reviewed separately with exact measurements. "This is for the final approval of the facade itself," the staff member said.
Board members asked whether construction had begun in earnest; the staff member said the delay was related to the business owners' health concerns and that the owners have been working with Downtown Alive and have a facade grant. A board member who moved approval said, "I'll make a motion to approve as presented." After a second, the board voiced its support and the motion carried.
Staff later reminded members that the sign application will come back to the board for separate review and that the current approval covers only the facade plans submitted.
A staff member closed the item and the meeting moved on to other agenda items.
