Warren County supervisors elect chair, set 2025 schedule and ratify emergency declaration

The Warren County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday elected its chair and vice chair for 2025, approved an amended meeting schedule and unanimously ratified a local emergency declaration.
The board elected Mr. Betman as chair and Mr. Stanmeyer as vice chair after nominations and roll-call votes. The agenda for the evening was adopted with changes (deleting items D and I-12 and adding items J, consideration of the regular meeting schedule, and K, ratification of an emergency declaration). Supervisors also approved the minutes for December 2024, accepted the consent agenda and set the board’s regular meeting schedule for the year.
The motion to set meetings reads that the Board of Supervisors will meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m., with exceptions for June (no third-Tuesday meeting), August (first meeting moved to Wednesday), and November (first meeting moved to Wednesday). The board also authorized a declaration of local emergency so county agencies “can enlist the necessary” resources; the resolution was moved, seconded and approved by roll call.
All recorded votes taken during the meeting were by roll call and passed. The clerk called the roll for each recorded vote, and the board’s membership present voted in the affirmative on the agenda changes, minutes approval, consent agenda, meeting schedule and the emergency declaration. A motion to adjourn passed by unanimous voice vote.
