The Montgomery County Public Service Authority elected Todd King chair, Derek Kitts vice chair and Mary Biggs secretary/treasurer during the meeting.
Todd King was nominated and, after nominations were closed, was elected by roll-call vote. Derek Kitts was nominated for vice chair and elected by roll-call vote. Mary Biggs was nominated and elected as secretary and treasurer.
The authority also approved the minutes from its Dec. 2 meeting by voice vote.
During the public address period, Sarah Rios Baughn of District A asked the board to provide commentary in response to an audit discussed at the prior Board of Supervisors meeting and to address whether the PSA had gone over budget in a way that should be explained publicly. She identified herself, said she represents District A and asked the board to include relevant commentary at an upcoming meeting.
The roll-call votes for officers were recorded on the transcript during the meeting. For the chair election the transcript records aye votes from multiple members; for the vice chair and secretary/treasurer elections the roll calls likewise recorded unanimous aye votes by the members present. No nominee declined office and no contested ballots were recorded.
