Montgomery County forum approves agenda, minutes and treasurer reports, then moves to closed session

Presiding member said the forum would begin by approving the agenda; members moved, seconded and approved the agenda by voice vote. The forum also approved minutes from December (motion and second), and accepted the treasurer's reports for December and January after a brief presentation by the Treasurer.

The Treasurer reported that "there's not been a significant change in the statement of net assets" and that on the statement of cash flows "you can see that we've had a decrease in cash so far this year of a hundred and $82,000." The Treasurer said part of that decline was timing of transactions and continued payments "from proceeds," and added, "We're using cash as we have anticipated. So there are no concerns there for the, stormwater upgrades at Fawn Branch or Brook Park." The Treasurer also reported that a county contribution includes an incentive passed through the Christiansburg EDA for a Go Virginia match and said the forum had not received funding for Christiansburg's facade grant program. The Treasurer specified that "the 300,000 is for their Go Virginia match."
