Board members moved the CTE resolution onto the agenda during the meeting’s opening. “We’ve long known the importance of CTE,” Board Member Pamela Pugh said when she moved the item, adding that CTE “is important to ensure that this is adequately funded and equitable to students across the state of Michigan.” Dr. Pugh’s motion was seconded by Ellen Cogan Lipton and the board approved the addition by roll call vote.
The board then approved the full meeting agenda, as amended. Members voted on officer nominations that follow the board bylaws requiring election in odd-numbered years. Dr. Pamela Pugh was elected president. The board elected…
