Minutes and warrants: Commissioners approved the minutes of the Feb. 5, 2025 meeting as submitted. They approved payroll/treasurer warrants dated Feb. 5, 2025 in the amount of $454,728.59 and warrants dated Feb. 12, 2025 in the amount of $768,876.87. All votes were unanimous.
Personnel: The board approved two hires in the York County Sheriff’s Office. Rachel Bonia was approved as a full-time corrections officer with a hire date corrected in the meeting packet to Feb. 24, 2025. James Chadbourne was approved as a full-time fleet mechanic (fleet maintenance) in the Sheriff’s Office with a hire date of Feb. 24, 2025. Commissioners noted the corrections hire brings the full-time corrections officer count to 53.
Executive session and adjournment: The commission voted unanimously to go into executive session under the statutory authority cited at the meeting for labor negotiations (statute referenced in the meeting as “MRSA 4,056 C, D”); commissioners later left executive session and stated “No action is taken.” The board then voted to adjourn; the motion to adjourn passed unanimously.
