Representative Bridal told the subcommittee that the House had held extensive hearings on the state election commission documents and that it would be prudent to wait for the Senate’s final recommendations before taking the items up again. "This is for the election state election commission documents. We've taken up these documents and held extensive hearings each of the last 2 years and until we get the Senate's final recommendations regarding what to withdraw and resubmit and can incorporate that into our hearings, it doesn't make sense for us to take up this version of the documents again," Bridal said.
Representative Teeple seconded the motion to carry the items over pending the Senate review. The subcommittee carried the motion by voice vote.
Committee members instructed staff to await the Senate’s outcome and to return the documents for further consideration when the Senate’s recommendations are available.
