Tammy Clill, Twinsburg’s HR director, told council that the city has implemented NEOGOV for online job applications and onboarding and that NEOGOV produced 53 applicants and more than 1,000 page views in January.
Clill said the city has filled several positions — including one police lateral and one firefighting position — and is actively recruiting for assistant parks and recreation director, group activities coordinator, part-time fitness attendant, maintenance and custodian positions and seasonal roles. The wastewater division recently interviewed for a maintenance electrician.
For benefits administration, the city implemented Employee Navigator (with support from TMC and finance staff Brenda Burns) for online open enrollment; Clill said the roll-out went smoothly and employees used the portal to update beneficiaries. IT has rolled out Microsoft 365 citywide and the department plans grant-funded training and a new cybersecurity training program for employees.
Clill said departments will be represented at a Twinsburg High School job fair on March 5 and that she expects further swearing-in events soon as hires complete onboarding.
