The Chariho Regional School District school committee unanimously approved a set of budget transfers to cover several building repairs, including plumbing for a career and technical education heating unit, electrical work, public‑address repairs and alarm upgrades.
District staff listed the transfers during the meeting, noting most were related to heating and facilities maintenance. Staff described four specific items: $4,315 for plumbing work on a heating unit in the Marine Building, $4,222 for electrical repairs to the main board at the Kaller facility, $3,900 to repair the high school cafeteria speakers and $2,230.02 for middle school alarm and plumbing maintenance.
A committee member moved to approve the transfers, and another seconded; the chair called the question and recorded the vote as unanimous.
The district said the transfers would allow the recently completed repairs to be paid in a timely manner and that documentation of the approved transfers will be posted with the budget materials.
