Staff said deed restrictions discussed with the Rochelle Foundation would limit incompatible future uses of the property and that the foundation had volunteered to include such restrictions.
Council approved the demolition contract by voice vote. Staff said contract-signature logistics and the final reimbursement agreement could be handled administratively or brought back to council for public disclosure; staff had not determined which path it would take.
