Committee refers $985,000 contract award to City Council with neutral recommendation

The Evanston Administration and Public Works Committee on Feb. 24 voted to approve its consent agenda while removing two items for separate consideration and referred one contract award to the City Council with a neutral recommendation.

The committee approved the consent agenda “minus A3 and A4,” then considered item A3, described in the meeting as an "approval of contract award to Provisor ... for putting assets to work innovative finance and asset consumption grant implementation services for $985,000." Committee members voted to convey item A3 to the City Council with a neutral recommendation. The motion carried by voice vote; no roll-call vote or named tally was recorded in the meeting transcript.

Item A4 — described in the meeting as an approval of purchase from Premstar — was pulled from the agenda and was not voted on.

Committee members present at the Feb. 24 meeting included Council member Harris, Council member Nussma, Council member Burns, Council member Reid and Council member Kelly. The committee convened at 5:02 p.m. and adjourned at 5:13 p.m.

The referral means the City Council will consider the proposed contract award and make the final decision; the committee’s neutral recommendation neither endorses nor opposes the contract.
