The Sevier River Watershed Council approved the minutes from its November meeting and heard a staff reminder about the annual Open and Public Meetings Act training before adjourning.
A council member moved to approve the minutes “as corrected”; the motion was seconded by Brett Bunker. The council approved the minutes by voice vote; the meeting record shows the chair asked, “All in favor?” and a response of “Aye.” No roll-call tally was provided in the record.
Carly Payne of the Division of Water Resources reviewed the Open and Public Meetings Act training requirement for public bodies: members must complete the training once a year, and an online 5–10 minute course issues a certificate upon completion. Payne offered to email the training link to the council and noted that conducting the training during a public meeting provides proof in the minutes for those who attend; members who miss the meeting must complete the online version separately.
The council concluded the brief online meeting with a motion to adjourn moved by Trevor Barnston and seconded by Jared Smith; the motion passed by voice vote. The meeting record shows unanimous assent by voice; no individual roll-call votes were recorded.
