Tullahoma students named to ACDA, TMEA and All-State theater ensembles; district honors fine-arts achievers

The Tullahoma Board of Education recognized more than two dozen students for fine-arts honors during its Feb. 18 meeting.
Dr. Stevens led a special-items segment celebrating students named to the ACDA National Honor Choirs, the Tennessee Music Education Association (TMEA) All-State ensembles and All-State theater. The board acknowledged seven students selected to the ACDA National Honor Choirs (five from West Middle School and two from Tullahoma High School) who will perform at the 2025 ACDA National Conference in Dallas in March.
District students were also named to TMEA All-State ensembles. Tullahoma City Schools had 17 students chosen for the All-State Treble Honor Choir who will perform at the TMEA conference at Gaylord Opryland on April 12. The district's TMEA All-State band selections from Tullahoma High School include Alexander Cook, Ella Farmer, Liz French, Jonah Rothgen Vallejos and Richard Thomason.
Dr. Stevens highlighted one senior, Hannah Warta, who earned a spot on the Tennessee All-State Choir for the third consecutive year. The board also recognized Braylon (Braylen) Clinton, a Tullahoma High School student selected for All-State Theater; Clinton will play Sophie Sheridan in the high-school production of Mamma Mia in April.
The superintendent thanked teachers and family supporters by name and noted that certificates and photographs would accompany the recognitions. No formal action was required; the item was a ceremonial recognition recorded in the meeting minutes.
