The Anoka County Board approved Resolution 2025 M3 on Feb. 25, ratifying a tentative three‑year agreement between the County and the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE), Local 49, covering the highway and parks maintenance unit for calendar years 2025 through 2027.
Commissioner Meissner presented the tentative agreement as management committee consent item M3, describing it as a three‑year contract that provides stability for the workforce. Meissner moved adoption of the resolution; Commissioner Schulte seconded. The board discussed the contract in the context of ongoing labor negotiations and the county’s broader work on wages for employees. By roll call vote the board approved the resolution unanimously.
The resolution authorizes the tentative agreement; specific wage scales, benefit provisions and effective implementation steps were discussed in committee and are part of the contract documents filed by the county and the union. County staff will manage implementation and future pay adjustments under the terms negotiated and memorialized in the agreement.
