Haslet P&Z recommends approval of final plat for Lots 1 and 2 of Block A, Klein Shed Addition

The City of Haslet Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval Tuesday of the final plat for Lots 1 and 2 of Block A in the Klein Shed Addition, a roughly 9.81-acre tract north of Maxwell Drive located in the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.

The commission’s staff presenter described the proposal as a minor boundary adjustment that transfers a small triangular parcel to an adjoining tract while preserving existing houses on each resulting lot. The presenter said a few outstanding technical comments remained but asked the commission to approve the plat conditioned on those comments being incorporated before the item is forwarded to the City Council.

Commissioner (unnamed) moved to recommend approval “with the comments that are made on the plan right now be included in the final plan.” Chairman (unnamed) seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously; individual roll-call votes were not recorded in the meeting transcript.

The staff presentation said the plat is located in the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction on the north side of Maxwell Drive and described the lot geometry and existing homes. Staff emphasized that remaining comments are minor and can be resolved administratively prior to submittal to council.

The commission did not request changes to the substance of the plat. The recommendation will be transmitted to the City Council with the condition that the listed plan comments in the exhibit be addressed.

Planning staff and the applicant will be responsible for resolving the outstanding comments and incorporating them into the final plat before the council hearing.
