The Vero Beach Code Enforcement Board continued the longstanding case against Complete Marine Services (2915 Aviation Boulevard) to its March meeting and ordered that continuing penalties be stayed pending further work between the property owner and city staff.
The case record lists multiple violations dating to 2023 involving storage of vehicles and trailers in a stormwater retention area, failure to maintain required screening landscaping, vehicle/trailer storage in a drainage easement, and unapproved vehicle ingress/egress points. City staff reported that many issues had been corrected and that the remaining landscaping/screening issues had been the subject of ongoing discussion. Attorney Chuck Harris, representing the property owner, submitted an affidavit from the owner documenting efforts and timing of compliance steps and asked the board to accept the affidavit into the record.
After discussion the board agreed to continue the matter to the board's March meeting and to stay any continuing penalties while staff and the property owner finalize outstanding landscaping details. The board asked staff and the parties to exchange records and come prepared to report clarity on the dates of compliance at the continued hearing.
