Multiple Incline Village residents and Citizens Advisory Board members told the CAB meeting that short-term rentals (STRs) continue to cause neighborhood disruptions and that Washoe County’s enforcement system and tax reporting make problems hard to resolve.
Rhonda Tyser, a longtime resident, said STRs have changed dramatically since they were first regulated and that residents face repeated disturbances without timely enforcement. “Today, the only people to people interaction with STR renters are the disturbed neighbors,” Tyser said, summarizing years of complaints and enforcement frustrations.
