Near the end of the public meeting the board voted to convene in closed session “per statute 19.8551 C” to consider issuing preliminary notices of nonrenewal to employees with individual teacher contracts. The roll call on the motion to convene in closed session recorded affirmative votes from board members (Kelly, Meredith, Mike, Cheryl, Jerry and Frank as recorded on roll call). The board then left open session to meet in closed session as authorized by the cited statute.
