Issa and Grace, CCAC events leads, updated the committee on planning for the CCAC resource fair and community outreach efforts. They reported vendor recruitment, volunteer logistics and promotional plans for social media and radio spots.
Nut graf: The committee is organizing a staffed resource fair with more than 40 registered vendors, multiple breakout presentations, volunteer orientation materials and translated flyers. Plans include a volunteer check-in area, signage, a recorded orientation for volunteers, and social-media promotion of vendors and workshops.
Issa said the fair had strong vendor interest and a transition youth council scheduled eight breakout sessions covering topics from DDA connections to financial planning. The events team has created sign-up forms for volunteers and plans a Friday night setup so Saturday can focus on vendor and family engagement. Sarah and communications staff will push sign-up links to school staff and SEIAs and collect logos from vendors for promotional posts.
Communications committee members said they will run a radio spot and expand social media posts and the CCAC web page to highlight vendors and workshops; they will provide an update on the radio schedule later in the week. Organizers plan to make materials available in Spanish and post a recorded volunteer orientation for staff who cannot attend a live briefing.
Ending: Organizers asked committee members to sign up to volunteer, share event flyers, and invite colleagues. They said the fair would include translated materials and on-site information tables so families can connect directly with local service providers.
