At the top of the meeting, the commission approved an administrative authorization to remove an existing permanent wooden dock at 37 Ash Road and replace it with a floating dock, with staff directed to add conditions to limit disturbance to land and water. The motion to allow administrative approval with conditions carried on a voice vote.
The commission approved meeting minutes for Jan. 22, 2025. The board also voted to issue a permit for a Meadow Lake project (DIP number 1281957) after the applicant requested issuance at the meeting. The permit was approved by voice vote.
Several hearings were continued to the commission’s next scheduled meeting on Feb. 26 at 7 p.m., including the matters listed for 35 North Main Street and Block 5, Harrington Road, and a matter listed as 0 and 0 Hill Road. For those continued items the commission recorded motions and seconds and carried continuances by voice vote.
The commission issued complete certificates of compliance for work tied to a septic repair at 162 Stanstedt Road, for new construction at 47 Prindle Hill Road, and for work at 23 Bridal Hill Road. For 23 Bridal Hill Road, staff noted a few plan deviations; the commission asked for an engineer’s letter documenting the deviations and required that remaining frozen erosion controls be removed once thawing allows.
Board members received updates: a Bay Mountain Farm contract agreement review remains in progress and will be discussed at a future meeting; and a stormwater complaint at the Sunset Bridal/Chambers area was discussed. Staff said there is documentation showing prior filling at the site and that public works restored a cut drainage pipe to its prior condition. The commission directed staff to continue following up with state agencies where appropriate.
Ending: The commission adjourned after confirming its next meeting location (the commission office) on Feb. 26 and circulating signatures for certificates and orders approved at the meeting.
