Salvation Army thanks Coppell for Red Kettle support; presents bell and certificate to mayor

Reynolds said the mayoral challenge and council volunteers helped the Red Kettle effort raise more than $380 (transcript figure) on the city’s day at the kettle; he described the historical origin of the Red Kettle and thanked council volunteers. He presented the mayor with a certificate and a bell as tokens of appreciation.
Reynolds described ways the public and council can continue to support the Salvation Army year-round, including a virtual kettle and participation at community events such as tree-lighting and holiday parades. No formal council action was requested or recorded for this presentation.
