US Water reports December–January volumes; city begins lead and copper sampling and completes most meter installs

Andy reported the wastewater treatment plant treated 14,800,000 gallons in December and about 14,600,000 gallons in January. He said drinking‑water production was 12,800,000 gallons in December and 14,600,000 gallons in January as noted in the submitted report. The report also lists planned repairs and budget status for the two months presented.
On lead and copper testing, Andy said the city will begin a program of sampling: "We're doing 40 this year or just 40 every 6 months, in a different procedure. So we're starting that." He described the sampling as a new and ongoing task in the operations schedule.
Council members asked about replacement meters. Andy said the installation effort is nearly complete: "I think 15... There's 3 left. Install." He also noted work to locate and address an ongoing building leak that had contributed to unaccounted water usage.
