Organizers invite council and residents to Pride in the Foothills event May 31 in Glendora

Representatives of Glendora Pride in the Foothills used the public‑comment period to invite the City Council and residents to the fourth annual Pride in the Foothills event set for May 31 at Think By The Park.
Tonya Pace, representing Glendora Pride in the Foothills, said the event runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., will include food vendors, community groups, speakers, a DJ and a family-oriented “Queer Olympics.” Pace said the group distributed informational packets to councilmembers and invited elected officials to attend and participate; she said last year’s event drew more than 300 people and that fundraising and community engagement are strong in advance of this year’s event.
A second speaker, a long-time Glendora resident and congregation member who identified as part of the LGBTQ community, described the event as family-friendly and urged councilmembers to spend 30 minutes to come and see the community participation. Both speakers thanked the council for the opportunity to speak and for prior involvement.
No council action was taken; the remarks were recorded during the public‑comment period and council members acknowledged the invitation.
