Vice Chair Carter moved a mass motion covering a large group of measures. Rules attorney Holder told the committee the rules office had reviewed each measure included in the mass motion and found them constitutional and in proper form, with one comment concerning House Bill 2867 (see separate article).
The mass motion listed more than 40 separate House bills and two House concurrent resolutions by bill number; the transcript lists each bill number included in the bundle. The committee voted on the bundle by roll call. The roll call recorded Representative Carbone Aye; Representative Contreras Aye; Representative Mathis Aye; Representative De Los Santos Aye; Speaker Montenegro Aye; Representative Willoughby Aye; Vice Chairman Carter Aye; Chairman Hendricks Aye. The committee announced a vote of 7 ayes and 1 absent and recommended the measures in the mass motion are constitutional and in proper form.
Chairman Hendricks closed the meeting, saying, "Without objection, the meeting is adjourned."
