District to seek copier bid, cites strong cybersecurity showing in technology evaluation

Mister Hall presented the technology program evaluation and said next year's program cost will be slightly larger but that the technology team and staff had performed well in a recent cybersecurity evaluation. Hall noted the district intends to replace a set of aging, small printers with district-wide multifunction copier/scanner/printer devices to reduce maintenance costs.
Staff said the RFP for copiers is anticipated to be ready within roughly a month and that the district previously skipped a scheduled equipment refresh due to COVID. No formal action or contract award appeared on the Jan. 27 agenda; the presentation was informational and board members did not request changes to the plan during the meeting.
