The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Northvale approved a resolution authorizing payment of municipal bills at a special meeting called so the borough would not have to wait until its regular meeting on March 12.
The presiding official opened the item, asked for a motion and a second, and Councilwoman McNamara moved the resolution with a second by Councilman Metalian. The council opened and then closed the public portion before taking a roll call vote.
The roll call recorded the following yes votes: Councilman McCallion, Councilwoman Commander, Councilman Matysic, Councilwoman McNamara and Councilman Manaka. The presiding official closed the vote and the resolution was approved.
Council members did not elaborate further on specific invoices during the meeting; the presiding official noted members had received the bills in advance and that acting at the special meeting would allow prompt payment.
