Martin County students display projects at district STEM fair showcase

Williams. Another student described a water-filtration project that compared three filter types and a version with two layers of a filter material against a single layer and a plain UV film to see which collected impurities most effectively. Other presentations addressed food sustainability and growing kale to increase yield and food availability.
District organizers emphasized the showcase’s role in giving students a public forum to present research and experiment results and in encouraging family attendance through food and music. The emcee closed by saying, “In the Martin County School District, the opportunities are endless.”
