Ordinance No. 2025‑3, read for the third and final time, repeals and replaces Section 1369.04 (Transient Rental Property fees) of the Huron Codified Ordinances to codify fees that council previously set in 2020. Council approved a resolution ratifying the city manager’s 2022 memorandum of agreement with Charles E. Harris and Associates and the Ohio Auditor of State for professional audit services covering fiscal periods through 2026. Separately, during a public hearing council reviewed and then approved an application by John D. Farshman for placement of about 14.8 acres in an agricultural district referenced in council discussion as Revised Code section 929.02 (Erie County parcel number 42‑00449). Staff described the agricultural district designation as a five‑year renewal that protects farmers from nuisance suits, special assessments and certain eminent‑domain actions, and council moved to approve the request.
