The House Behavioral Health and Health Care Committee voted to introduce four legislative concepts as committee bills during the committee's Feb. 20, 2025, work session.
The committee adopted a motion to introduce LC 1995 (dated 2025-01-17), LC 2075 (2025-01-09), LC 3843 (2024-12-16) and LC 3845 (2024-12-16) as committee measures. Vice Chair Nelson moved the motion; the clerk called the roll and the motion passed with members recorded as voting yes.
The committee chair explained two of the LCs are placeholders intended to provide legislative vehicles to fix items that may arise late in the session; others relate to coordinated care organizations, Medicaid and rate-setting ideas offered by outside experts. The chair stressed that adoption as committee bills at this stage does not bind the committee to support them at later hearings.
The vote was conducted by roll call and recorded; Vice Chair Nelson and Chair Nelson were among those recorded voting yes during the roll call recorded in the transcript.
