FLVS to present budget amendment, salary schedule, compensation adjustments and multiple policy readings in March

Florida Virtual School staff on Feb. 25 notified trustees that the March 25 quarterly meeting will include several financial and policy items: fiscal year 2024–25 budget amendment No. 3, the 2025–26 omnibus salary schedule, instructional personnel compensation adjustments, and performance pay plans for eligible support staff and the FlexPoint sales team.
Dr. Algace introduced the agenda and said Miss Corey Wheeler would review the five financial items at the March meeting. “7.1 is the fiscal year 24, 25 budget amendment number 3 for the quarter. 7.2 will cover the FLVS 25, 26 omnibus salary schedule. 7.3 is for the instructional personnel compensation adjustment. 7.4 is the performance pay plan for eligible support staff. And 7.5 is the FlexPoint sales performance pay plan for fiscal year 25, 26,” he said.
Staff also briefed trustees on a package of board policy revisions slated for first reading, and said the deputy general counsel, Karen Chastain, will review the proposed policy revisions and repeals at the March meeting and publish them for public notice and a hearing as required. Several additional policy items may be added to the list before the March meeting, staff said.
The workshop did not adopt any financial amendments or policy changes; staff will present the formal documents and recommended motions for trustee consideration on March 25.
