The superintendent also said the evaluation must be submitted to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) in the fall, per the contract timeline discussed in the meeting.
Committee members asked procedural questions about whether a formal mid‑year deliverable was required (the superintendent said it is an informational check‑in, not a final evaluation) and about how staff will protect confidential student information in materials that underlie evidence used for evaluation. The superintendent said the data sheets included in the evidence packet had confidential student identifiers removed for privacy reasons.
No formal action was taken; the presentation was described as part of the annual evaluation cycle and staff will provide the usual June materials to the evaluation subcommittee.
