County PVA tells school board reassessments show rising home values; offers public meeting on March 20

Jada Brady, the Clark County Property Valuation Administrator (PVA), addressed the board during public comments to highlight recent residential sales and how market activity will feed into the county’s reassessment process.
Brady said she overlaid recent Quad 2 sales and current assessments to illustrate differences. She listed several neighborhood sales and the assessment amounts for comparison, saying the sample indicated rising market values entering 2025. "My position as PVA is to hold up the Kentucky State Constitution section 1 72, which states that property to be assessed at fair cash value," Brady told the board.
Brady provided trustees with property cards and a postcard announcing an open public meeting on March 20 at the Clark County Library from 6 to 7:30 p.m. to explain the assessment process and answer questions. She said reassessments are one of several inputs the county will use when recalculating tax rates and encouraged coordination between elected bodies.
