Waterville announces Easter scavenger hunt, community prizes and local vendors

Terry Masucci, event organizer, briefed the Waterville City Council on an Easter scavenger hunt and the city’s annual community egg hunt.
The scavenger hunt runs March 21–April 11. Children pick up an entry form at the Waterville Library, find 20 numbered eggs placed at participating local businesses, and turn in completed forms to the library to receive a small prize. The community Easter egg hunt is scheduled for April 12 at Conrad Park, in the Rec Building, from 10 a.m. until the event concludes. Organizers said they will provide free donuts and hot chocolate.
Masucci said three local bakers — Joya Sweets, Sugared and Spun, and Saucy Bites — will provide baked goods for the event. The chamber of commerce provided coupon prizes and Council Member Wayne Wagner arranged an ice-cream coupon from Sweet Retreats for participants. Age categories will be 0–2, 3–5, 6–8 and 8 and up; each age group will include a prize egg with a coupon. The Easter Bunny will attend for photos, and there will be an adult Easter-basket raffle.
Ending: Organizers asked the community to participate and thanked local businesses and volunteers; no council action was required.
