The Dinwiddie County Planning Commission elected Mister Harvill as chair and Mister Hayes as vice chair for calendar year 2025 and approved a resolution adopting the commission’s regular meeting dates, the panel confirmed at its Jan. 8 meeting.
The commission voted, by roll call with seven members present, to elect Harvill chair. Commissioners then confirmed Hayes as vice chairman. The commission also approved a resolution adopting the 2025 meeting calendar as presented and voted to retain its existing bylaws and its code of ethics and standards of conduct.
Commission counsel noted a legal requirement in the Virginia Code that the schedule be published in a newspaper at least seven days before the February meeting. The commission’s attorney said the schedule will be published to meet that requirement. There were no amendments to the calendar or bylaws; the planning commission voted to keep the current bylaws unchanged.
Votes at a glance: the roll calls recorded seven members present for each vote and each action carried on unanimous votes of those present.
