The Walsburg Town Council voted to accept Planning Commission recommendations and to issue building-permit approval letters for two recent applications: a detached garage for Craig Kaiser and a greenhouse for resident Mylett Adams.
Craig Kaiser told the council he previously pulled a permit two years earlier but the permit lapsed. The planning commission reviewed setbacks and other code requirements and recommended approval; the council approved the recommendation and voted to issue the letter once staff obtains necessary signatures.
The council also accepted a planning-commission recommendation to approve a greenhouse for Mylett Adams. Council discussion noted the greenhouse is a kit structure greater than 200 square feet, that it will have no dedicated power or permanent water (the applicant intends to haul a hose), and that it sits near a town pasture and property corners. Adams was not present at the council meeting; councilmembers said the planning commission had verified setbacks and recommended approval.
Both approvals were carried by voice vote with no member recorded in opposition. Staff will prepare and sign the permit-approval letters and notify the applicants.
