Board confirms multiple appointments and introduces interim county administrator and new parks director

The Board of Supervisors took several personnel and appointment actions and introduced newly engaged staff at the meeting.
The board announced Sandy Warner’s appointment as interim county administrator effective Feb. 24. The board said Warner was selected through the Berkeley Group and will lead the county while a search for a permanent administrator continues.
Supervisors approved multiple appointments and reappointments by voice vote: Lloyd Carter to the Bowman History Center Advisory Commission (District 1 appointment); LaToya Johnson Davis reappointed to the Planning Commission; Shelly Sheehy to the Board of Real Estate Assessors; David Banks to the Economic Development Authority; Elizabeth Hope to the Henrico Area Service Board; and Supervisor Ryan Patterson designated the county’s primary representative to the Richmond Regional Transportation Planning Organization.
The board introduced Paul Wilmar as the new boxing/parks & recreation director; Wilmar described plans to expand programs and community engagement. Chairman and staff also introduced Betty Burrell as a financial consultant who will assist the county’s finance department.
