The Walsburg Town Council voted on Sept. 5 to accept recent Planning Commission recommendations and to issue building‑permit approval letters for two property owners.
The Planning Commission reviewed a request for Craig Kaiser to build a detached garage and recommended the council issue a building permit approval letter. Craig Kaiser told the council he had previously pulled a permit for the same project two years earlier but the permit had recently expired. The council voted to accept the Planning Commission recommendation; the motion passed and staff will prepare the approval letter for signature when the town clerk returns.
The council also considered a Planning Commission recommendation for Mylett Adams to install a greenhouse. Staff said the greenhouse is larger than 200 square feet, has no permanent power or water connection and will rely on a hauled hose for watering; the applicant was not present. Councilmembers said setbacks had been reviewed by the Planning Commission and moved to accept its recommendation to issue the permit approval letter; the motion passed.
No additional conditions were added by the council at the meeting. Staff will issue the written approval letters once the clerk signs them and will notify the applicants of any remaining county permit steps.
The council recorded votes on both items and the motions carried; no appeals or objections were raised during the meeting.
