The Wallsburg Town Council voted to accept planning-commission recommendations and issue building-permit approval letters for two recent planning reviews at the Sept. 5 meeting.
The planning commission "has reviewed and determined that a request for Craig Kaiser to build a detached garage meets the stipulations and requirements of the Walsburg Town Development Code and hereby recommends the Walsburg Town Council that a building permit approval be issued," a staff reading of the commission letter stated. Craig Kaiser appeared and answered questions about the expired prior permit; the council then approved the recommendation. A council member moved; Terry Issel provided the first motion and Mary Piscitelli seconded; the council voted "Aye" and approved the permit approval letter.
The council then considered a planning-commission recommendation that Mylett Adams be allowed to place a greenhouse on her property. Staff said the structure exceeds the county threshold for a permit (the greenhouse is over 200 square feet) and that no power or permanent water is planned; Adams was not present. The council accepted the planning commission's recommendation, voted to issue the building-permit approval letter and directed staff to finalize the paperwork when the town clerk is available to sign.
