Council adopts Vision Zero 'Vision 0' action plan to target traffic fatalities and serious injuries

The city’s presentation credited the planning team and consultants, including Kimley-Horn, for producing a package of recommendations covering capital projects, standards and policy changes and education campaigns. “It just sets that lofty goal of reaching 0 fatalities ultimately and 0 serious injuries on our roadways,” a city official said, summarizing the plan’s intent and its role in future bond planning.
Council members agreed the plan will inform capital projects and standards moving forward and voted to adopt the resolution without objection.
