The staff member said existing utility easements will be preserved, but the purchaser may relocate utilities at its own expense subject to county rules and oversight because the utilities run down the middle of the former roadway. The staff member also said there are two adjoining landowners with related ownership interests and that one company will execute a waiver or assignment so WC Land Holdings can have the primary right to purchase under the negotiated arrangement.
The staff member noted the property will assume the zoning of adjacent parcels as it is incorporated into private ownership. Commissioners approved the sale by voice vote; the motion and second were not named in the public record.
