During the Feb. 10 work session, Hall County staff presented a series of items the board directed be placed on the consent agenda for the Thursday voting meeting or scheduled for public hearings. The items below were presented and, in the work session, commissioners voiced consent or directed staff to proceed to hearing.
- Renew annual signage contract (RFP 41-011) with Miller EG Design, LLC; estimated annual cost $100,000 (placed on consent).
- Sole-source SCBA purchase (MSA G1) to 10.8 Fire and Safety LLC, $1,808,020; funded in Fire District CIP (placed on consent).
- Purchase of Pierce Enforcer 107-foot tractor-drawn aerial tiller truck to 10.8 Fire and Safety LLC, $2,169,124; procured under NPPGov contract; estimated delivery 48 months (placed on consent).
- Amend Code of Ordinances to reduce speed limit on Duckett Mill Road from 50 mph to 40 mph; staff requested authorization for the chairman to execute the resolution, subject to county-attorney review (consent).
- Intergovernmental agreement request with City of Beaufort to provide sewer service for parcel 08154000016; authorization requested for chairman to execute subject to attorney review (consent).
- Agreement with Cedar Grove Landfill LLC to dispose sludge from Spout Springs Water Reclamation Facility at $75/ton up to 100 tons/week; estimated annual cost $50,000 (consent).
- Release and acceptance actions for subdivision guarantees and street acceptance related to Friendship Road subdivision and an extension of a $175,002 performance and maintenance guarantee for Reunion Phase 9 (consent).
- Planning items placed for hearings or voting as appropriate (5552 Bogus Road PRD, 6000 Wellspring Trail zoning amendment, Ridge Road mixed-use revised plan, manufactured home at 3243 Hall Drive).
- Mal t beverage and wine package license for Family Food Mart (3702 Brownsbridge Road), change of ownership; business-license office recommended approval; public hearing conducted (recommendation to approve).
- Tax refunds presented for approval: $2,820.30 to David Andenberg Jr. (Bridal property refund for 3540 Bell Lane); $4,605.50 to Edward F. Atherton (personal property/boat refund); $4,822.67 to James Troy Phillips (personal property/mobile home refund). Staff confirmed documentation and calculations in each case.
- Motion made and seconded to go into executive session after the meeting for land acquisition, legal and personnel matters; later, a motion to come out of executive session and to adjourn was recorded.
