Votes and outcomes
- HVAC bid at John Dewey Academy of Learning: Sweet Garrett Mechanical awarded contract for $1,343,650. Approved (unanimous).
- 2024-25 budget adjustments: Changes to previously approved 2024-25 budget amounts per Wisconsin Statute 65.905A. Approved (unanimous).
- Rename Nicollet Elementary School to Nicollet Elementary Community School: Approved (unanimous). Boardmember highlighted the community-school model and potential state support for related services.
- Drill evaluations: Written drill evaluations from principals accepted pursuant to Wisconsin Section 118.07(4)(c). Approved (unanimous).
- District investments: Maintain investments with CESA 6 OPEB Trust in the moderate growth portfolio (Investment Strategy 3). Approved (unanimous).
- Curricular dogs (Policy 383.2) revisions: Approved (unanimous).
- Student searches and related policies: Policy 446 (student searches) passed as amended after separate discussion and amendment. Policy 446.1 (lockers, desks, storage) also approved.
- Conflict of interest (Policy 522.4): Revisions approved (unanimous).
- Harassment and violence policy and complaint procedures (Policy 4.11.11 and rule 4.11.11): Revisions approved; one recorded no vote on the policy and on the rules the clerk reported Becker voted no on the rule vote.
- Series 304 policies related to pupil services and teaching and learning: Revisions approved (unanimous).
- Repeal of policies 443.9, 447.2 and related rule 447.2 student detention procedures: Approved (unanimous).
Other business
The board also recognized community crossing guards, received the InterCity Student Council report, accepted gifts of books related to local Packers history for district use, and heard a superintendent update presenting district programs and student achievements.
