At the close of its Feb. 25, 2025 meeting, the Longmeadow School Committee voted to enter executive session under Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30A, Section 21(a), purpose 2 (collective bargaining strategy) and purpose 7 (release of executive-session minutes). The motion specified units A, B, C, D, E, F and H and stated the committee would not reconvene in open session.
Motion: "I move that school committee meet in an executive session, pursuant to Mass General Law chapter 30 a section 21 a, purpose 2, to conduct a strategy session in preparation for with collective bargaining units a, b, c, d, e, f, and h, and purpose 7, consideration of release of executive session minutes of previous meetings not to reconvene into open session." The motion was seconded.
Vote: roll-call vote carried unanimously: Jamie — Yes; Adam — Yes; Mikayla — Yes; Chair (unnamed) — Yes.
The committee adjourned into executive session and did not return to open session that evening.
