County construction staff told the Walworth County Public Works Committee on Jan. 25 that demolition and early-construction work at the Lakeland Healthcare Center is underway, but one storm-sewer permit from the State of Wisconsin remains pending.
Nicole, a construction staff member, said the project team had begun demolition and secured most permits, but the storm-sewer permit review was scheduled for Feb. 18. “We received the plumbing permit. We received the DHS permit. We did not get the storm,” Nicole said. She added that part of the submittal process involved coordination with the City of Elkhorn.
