Board to seek licensed physician as medical advisor to meet policy 05/2001 and Wisconsin rule

The staff member said the district plans to bring an agreement forward between Lakeland School and a licensed physician in the coming months to comply with the policy and relevant Wisconsin administrative rules. “At some point, I’ll be bringing an agreement forward between, the licensed physician in Lakeland School in order to comply with this policy, and the Wisconsin administrative rule,” the staff member said.
Board members asked about the timeline and potential consequences of not having an advisor in place. The staff member said the school has operated without one and that the goal is to complete the arrangement in the next couple of months; the staff member did not specify penalties for noncompliance.
Board discussion focused on logistics and contacts: the staff member said he had discussed possible contacts for the role with Mr. Liberta and expected outreach to potential physicians soon.
